General Sales Terms and Conditions
At Helvetia Defense, we take customer service seriously. If you're not satisfied with your order, we'll do our best to make things right.
These General Sales Terms and Conditions (hereafter referred to as "Terms") govern the sale of products by HELVETIA DEFENSE (hereafter referred to as "we," "us," or "our") to customers ("you" or "the customer"). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Scope of Products We sell both new and second-hand firearms and accessories. For products officially distributed by HELVETIA DEFENSE, we provide a warranty as detailed in section 4. For custom-ordered products, we will coordinate with the official distributor regarding warranty issues.
- New Firearms: Covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
- Second-Hand Firearms: All second-hand firearms undergo a mechanical inspection. Any known issues or peculiarities will be communicated to the customer prior to sale.
3. Warranty and Returns
- Manufacturing Defects: If a manufacturing defect is identified, please contact us immediately. We will inspect the firearm to determine the issue. If the defect is confirmed and no unauthorized modifications have been made, we will assist in the warranty process or provide a resolution.
- Modifications and Liability: We decline all responsibility for any issues arising from modifications made by the customer or improper reassembly of the firearm after purchase. If modifications are made by the customer or third-party, the product will not be eligible for exchange or refund.
4. Modifications and Service
- Third-Party Modifications: If a firearm has been modified by someone other than our gunsmiths, HELVETIA DEFENSE is not responsible for any resulting malfunctions. We will not provide exchange or refund for such items.
- Service by HELVETIA DEFENSE: Our gunsmith may, at their discretion, attempt to assist with issues, but this service is not guaranteed, and the customer may be charged for labor and parts.
5. Payment Terms
- Down Payment: A 50% down payment is required to reserve any firearm. This payment can be made via bank transfer or in cash at our store.
- Payment Deadline: If the down payment is not received within 7 days of placing the order, the order will be canceled.
- Permit Requirements: It is the customer's responsibility to secure the necessary permits for firearm acquisition. If a customer fails to obtain a permit due to a criminal record or other disqualifying factors, a restocking fee of 15% will be retained by HELVETIA DEFENSE.
6. Shipping and Delivery
- National Shipping: We offer free national shipping within Switzerland. All firearms are delivered against signature to ensure secure delivery.
- Shipping Conditions: Shipping will proceed once full payment, acquisition permits, and a valid ID have been received.
- International Shipping: Not currently available.
We aim to ship all orders within 48 hours of receiving the necessary paperwork. Products that are not subject to regulations and can be sold freely will be shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Please note that shipping times may vary depending on the destination and shipping method.
To avoid the costs of returning products, please contact us with any questions you may have about our products before placing an order. All returns require prior approval from Helvetia Defense. To obtain an RMA number, please contact us by phone or email.
All returns must be made within 15 days of product delivery and must be new, in mint condition, and in their original packaging. Accessories, documentation, and registration cards must be included. Return shipping charges to Helvetia Defense are covered by the customer and original shipping charges for product returns are non-refundable.
Please note that we do not accept returns for special order products, including firearms, ammunition, optics, barrels or barreled receivers, and any product that requires an official government license of ownership.
For accessories, all returned or exchanged items must be in new and resalable condition with original packaging and returned within 15 days of purchase along with an original receipt.

7. Limitation of Liability HELVETIA DEFENSE is not liable for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from the use, modification, or misuse of any product sold. The customer assumes all responsibility for ensuring that firearms are used and stored safely and in accordance with local laws.
8. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the purchase of our products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Geneva.
