Description

Don't miss your chance to own an extremely rare and historically significant firearm - the Prototype of the BLM G41 DUV 43 WWII rifle. This remarkable battle rifle was manufactured by the Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabrik (BLM) and bears serial #5031, with all matching serial numbers. In excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition, this rifle is a true gem for collectors and enthusiasts.

During WWII, the German Army recognized the need for a higher rate of fire power to replace existing bolt-action rifles and improve infantry combat efficiency. In response to this need, various manufacturers were approached by the Army, including Mauser and Walther, who submitted prototypes that were similar in design.

The BLM G41 was one such prototype and featured an innovative mechanism known as the "Bang" system, named after its Danish designer, Soren H. Bang. The system captured propellant gases using a cone-shaped gas trap at the muzzle, which in turn deflected them to operate a small piston that pushed on a long piston rod, opening the breech and re-loading the gun. This design also included a 10 round magazine that was loaded using two of the stripper clips from the K98.

The G41 DUV 43 was eventually overthrown by the G43, making this prototype an extremely rare find. This firearm is a true work of art that reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of its era and a significant piece of history that should be treasured for generations to come. Whether you're a collector or simply an admirer of classic firearms, the Prototype of the BLM G41 DUV 43 WWII rifle is an exceptional addition to any collection.
