Auction Sales Terms and General Conditions

1. Create your account & Register for auction

Welcome to Helvetia Defense auctions. By participating, you engage in an exciting process where you compete directly with other buyers. Sellers list firm offers, and the highest bid wins the contract.

The final bid amount is the total price to be paid by the buyer. No additional fees or extra taxes will be applied.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering and participating, you acknowledge and accept these terms in full.

3. Data Protection

Your personal data is protected and used only for transactions and customer service. We comply with FADP and GDPR.

Keep your username and password secure. Contact us if you forget them. False information may lead to prosecution.

4. Auction Procedures

4.1 Bidding

  • The final bid amount is the total price to be paid by the buyer. No additional fees or extra taxes will be applied.

Accepted bids are determined by the increment table bellow.

Any bidder, including the high bidder, may still increase their bid by placing another bid for a higher value.

4.2 Auction Duration

Once an auction is open for bidding, place your bid on each of your desired lots.

  • Helvetia Defense may adjust auction durations for fairness.
  • Helvetia Defense can group, separate, omit, or add catalog numbers as needed.

4.3 Property Withdrawal

Helvetia Defense can withdraw any property at any time without liability.

4.4 Payments

  • Auctions are in Swiss francs with immediate cash payment.
  • Payment options include bank transfer or cash.
  • Ensure payment within 10 days; a 12% fee will be added to any late payments.
  • In the event of non-payment, the contract may be enforced or the sale canceled, with the buyer liable for damages and any additional fees incurred.
  • Once payment is made or proof is submitted, items can be sent to your address or picked up in the store.

4.5 Ownership and Risk

  • Ownership transfers only after payment, but risk is assumed upon adjudication.
  • We take care of stored items, but buyers are responsible for their purchases.

4.6 Specific Conditions for Firearms

  • Helvetia Defense reserves the right to refuse firearm sales for any reason and require compliance with all local, cantonal, and federal laws.
  • Ensure you have necessary permits before bidding. No refunds for permit issues.

4.7 Storage and Handling Fees

  • Storage fees: Handguns CHF 20/month, long guns CHF 30/month.
  • Additional transaction fees, including taxes, will be added to the final price.
  • Uncollected items are subject to storage fees.

5. Buyer Responsibilities

5.1 Condition and Authenticity

  • Descriptions are accurate, but buyers must verify item conditions.
  • We are not liable for minor defects from prior use.

5.2 Inspection and Warranties

  • Buyers must inspect items or request reports before bidding.
  • All items are sold "AS IS" with no warranty or returns unless pre-arranged.

5.3 Compliance and Legal

  • Buyers are responsible for verifying item conditions before bidding.
  • Helvetia Defense is not liable for materials from protected species in items.

6. Right of Withdrawal

Auction sales are final and not subject to withdrawal rights.

7. Auction Integrity

7.1 Platform Conduct

  • Do not disrupt our platform or use harmful software.
  • Bidding with multiple usernames or price manipulation is prohibited.
  • Buyers must not coordinate bids to manipulate prices.

7.2 Violations and Consequences

Violations may result in account suspension or legal action.

8. Modification of Terms

Helvetia Defense may modify terms at any time, with changes effective 30 days after notification.

9. Jurisdiction

Disputes are subject to the courts of Geneva, Canton of Geneva.
