Overview
The Aimpoint Patrol Rifle Optic (PRO) is a professional-grade red dot sight engineered for patrol rifles, tactical platforms, and users who require a rugged, straightforward, and immediately operational optic. Its 2 MOA red dot supports rapid target acquisition while retaining practical precision for close- and medium-range engagements.
This configuration includes a QRP2 mount and spacer for direct installation on a Picatinny or Weaver rail. The QRP2 tension knob provides fast, secure installation, while the mount is keyed into the sight body to help absorb recoil.
2 MOA Red Dot
The 2 MOA red dot balances speed and practical precision. The PRO is operationally parallax-free: once zeroed, the dot remains parallel to the weapon bore regardless of the shooter’s eye position behind the optic.
The 23 mm clear aperture and unlimited eye relief support natural, both-eyes-open aiming. The sight is compatible with night vision devices and Aimpoint 3x magnifiers.
Battery Life and Power
Powered by one DL1/3N lithium battery, the Aimpoint PRO provides up to 30,000 hours, or more than three years, of continuous operation at brightness setting 7. The battery compartment is positioned on the side of the housing for convenient battery replacement.
Brightness Settings
The PRO provides 10 brightness settings: four compatible with night vision devices and six daylight settings. Its controls are designed for easy operation, including while wearing gloves.
Ruggedness and Protection
The hard-anodized high-strength aluminum housing protects the electronic and optical components. The sight is submersible to 45 m / 150 ft and operates from -45 °C to +71 °C. It withstands shock, vibration, humidity, and occasional exposure to weapon cleaners, lubricants, fuels, and insect repellents.
Transparent front and rear flip-up lens covers allow the user to continue aiming with both eyes open in an emergency, even with the covers closed.
