Aimpoint CompM4 / CompM4s 2 MOA — Red Dot Sight with QRP2 Mount and 39 mm Spacer
Overview
The Aimpoint CompM4 and CompM4s are professional-grade red dot sights designed for intensive use in demanding environments. Both use a 2 MOA red dot, a high-strength hard-anodized aluminum housing, and a QRP2 mount with a 39 mm spacer for direct installation onto a Picatinny or Weaver rail.
The two configurations share the same optical, electronic, and mechanical performance. Your choice is solely the AA battery-compartment position: a low 5 o’clock position on the CompM4s, or a high 2 o’clock position on the CompM4.
Choose Your Battery Position
| Version | Battery Compartment Position |
|---|---|
| CompM4s | Low, 5 o’clock |
| CompM4 | High, 2 o’clock |
2 MOA Red Dot
The 2 MOA red dot provides an excellent balance between rapid target acquisition and precision. The sight is operationally parallax-free: once zeroed, the dot remains parallel to the weapon bore regardless of the shooter’s eye position behind the optic.
With a 23 mm clear aperture and unlimited eye relief, CompM4 / CompM4s sights support instinctive, both-eyes-open aiming. Anti-reflex, high-transmission lens coatings are compatible with night vision devices.
Exceptional AA Battery Life
Powered by one AA battery—1.2 V rechargeable, 1.5 V alkaline or lithium, or 3 to 3.7 V lithium—the CompM4 / CompM4s delivers up to 80,000 hours, or approximately eight years, of continuous operation at setting 12. Battery life exceeds 500,000 hours at compatible night-vision settings.
Night Vision and Brightness
The sight features 16 brightness settings: seven dedicated to night vision devices and nine daylight settings, including one extra-bright level. It is compatible with all generations of night vision devices and with Aimpoint 3x magnifiers.
QRP2 Mount and Spacer Included
Both versions include a QRP2 mount and a 39 mm spacer. The Picatinny-style mounting base enables rapid attachment to Picatinny or Weaver rails by turning the tension knob. The mount is keyed into the sight body to help absorb recoil.
With the spacer installed, the optical axis is positioned 39 mm above the top surface of the rail. With the mount only, it is positioned 30 mm above the rail.
Ruggedness and Protection
The CompM4 / CompM4s is submersible to 45 m / 150 ft and operates from -45 °C to +71 °C. Its high-strength, hard-anodized matte aluminum housing protects the electronics and optics from shock, vibration, humidity, and demanding operating conditions.
Each configuration includes a rubber bikini lens cover and a KillFlash anti-reflection device, designed to reduce front-lens glint.
