The DD OURY Velo-dog is a double-action revolver in caliber 8X27.
- Hammer with a long and thin firing pin mounted on a pivot
- Central percussion
- Closed and color case frame
This weapon carries the punches statutory of the proofhouse of Liege:
- "ELG" starred in a crowned oval: final acceptance post 1893
- "PV" surmounted by a stylized lion: smokeless powder test, in use from 1898 to 1968
Mark "DD OURY Bte": indicates that it is a manufacture of Dieudonne OURY manufacturer of weapons in MORTIER (Liege). The interested party filed 4 patents between 1895 and 1905. He was also the inventor of the well-known NOVO folding pocket revolver.
